Dr Michelle Starkey

Michelle (MA MSc PhD) is a neuroscientist with an interest in spinal cord injury and rehabilitation. After studying for her PhD in London she moved to Zurich, Switzerland and worked on developing devices to monitor rehabilitation. Recently, she returned from Zurich to join Mark Kotter's group at the University of Cambridge. Michelle oversees's involvement in clinical research

Timothy Boerger

Tim is a Ph.D. student in rehabilitation science at Marquette University in the United States. His dissertation research focusses on walking and balance function in patients with cervical myelopathy. He himself had an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion in November 2016 for a cervical disc herniation with myelopathy. Prior to all of this, he worked ​for several years providing rehabilitation for patients with leg, shoulder, back, and neck injuries. Tim will be contributing to the blog by writing summaries of recently published research.
