Myelopathy Student Society

Ollie HowarthOllie is a final year medical student at University of Cambridge; he has been researching DCM for over two years and is determined to make a difference for patients. Ollie is incredibly excited to work with a brilliant team this year and looks forward to the activities they have planned!

Max is a 5th year student at the School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Neuroscience. His research interests include neurosurgery, plastic surgery, orthopaedics, medical technology and education.

Sam is a 5th year medical student from Cambridge; he became interested in myelopathy almost a year ago and is currently undertaking basic science and clinical research in this area with Mark Kotter and Ben Davies. In his spare time Sam is a keen sportsman, regularly playing football and basketball!

Alice is currently a fifth-year medical student finishing the final two years of medical school by concomitantly completing an MRes, with a focus on glioblastoma. Prior to this, she completed a BMSc in genetics and cancer research (First-Class Honours). Alice also works closely with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management. Her specialist interests are in neurosurgery and neuro-oncology.

Shahz is a third year medical student at the University of Cambridge. He first got involved with Myelopathy as the Student Editor of the blog; since then, his interest has only increased, and he is now part of with the student society! Shahzaib is currently intercalating with the Physiology, Development and Neuroscience department, as well as undertaking a research project on the nervous and vascular anatomy of the arm and forearm.
